Swim Relay Challenge "Manta Kids Helping Kids"
The Manta Swim Club and the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation are proud to bring you the 2nd Annual Swim Relay Challenge, a fundraiser in support of the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation. The event brings together recreation, active living and sportsmanship all for a good cause. Title sponsorship for this event is open at this time.
Manta came to the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation last year with the idea a fun swim relay challenge as a fundraiser. Businesses, community groups, sports teams and families form teams of 4 amateur swimmers, and collect pledges of a minimum of $300 per team to enter the event. On race day, Manta will provide two Swim Club swimmers to join the team, and one Manta coach to help the team along. There is a maximum of 32 teams participating (4 heats of 8 teams for each race).
All teams will participate in eight fun relay swim challenges, such as the Noodle Pull, Tug of War, and Hula Hoop relay. No skills are necessary - just a sense a humor and the willingness to have fun. There will be room at the pool for spectators and friends to cheer on the teams. Each race will be scored according to finish line results.
Winners will be announced, prizes awarded and snacks and drinks served at a reception following the event in the Aquatic Hall of Fame.
ENTRY FEE is a minimum of $300 in collected pledges per team. Registration is limited to the first 32 teams. Deadline for registration is to be announced.
