Winnipeg Real Estate News Power Play Promotion

The Winnipeg Real Estate News has chosen kids with special needs and the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation to be the benefactors of an exciting new Power Play Promotion at Manitoba Moose games for the 2009-10 season. Every time the Manitoba Moose score a power play goal $100.00 will be donated to the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation for the purchase of sledge hockey equipment for children with special needs.

Like most young boys Logan is a through and through Moose fan and hockey is his passion. A child with limited mobility, Logan is now off the bleachers and playing hockey! Last year he received his very own sledge hockey equipment through generous donations to the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation. In addition to participating in an organized league he can practice with his friends whenever he wants on any ice surface he can get to. Thanks to sledge hockey equipment Logan is able to actively do what many kids take for granted, play hockey with his friends, and feel that thrill of scoring a goal, and being part of a team, with all the pride and accomplishment that goes with it.

Sledge hockey equipment ranges in cost from $600-800. Thanks to the Winnipeg Real Estate News more kids will have the opportunity to take to the ice, just like Logan has and live their dream. Go Moose Go! Good luck scoring those power play goals for kids. Thank you Winnipeg Real Estate News for making this possible.

Event Follow-up

Ian Dmytriw's dream to have his own sledge hockey equipment came true on April 19, 2010 at a Manitoba Moose play off game thanks to the Winnipeg Real Estate News power play promotion. Ian was proud to represent all three of the youth who recieved their own equipment thanks to the $2300 raised through this promotion.

Although not able to stand on his own, Ian loves playing sledge hockey enjoying the fun, sportsmanship and teamwork this great sport provides.

Thanks to the efforts of the Winnipeg Real Estate News and Manitoba Moose the recreation needs of 3 youth were met. The awareness of the ability for kids with special needs to actively participate in sports was highlighted at every Moose Game and through WREN weekly publication. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs.
